Hopefully someone can help me

I now have myself an old but very usable MacBook Pro it's the A1398 15" Late 2013 Core i7 I'd like to add a used Apple 24" Cinema Display the A1267 which has a 3 way split cable (USB, MagSafe[1], MiniDisplayPort) I can get one for around £100 in the UK but I'm not sure if it will work

Did some searches and there were some reported issue with it but this might have been due to OS problems that have been resolved.

I run two bootable partitions Yosemite (for Adobe CS4 Software) and Catalina (for everything else) will the monitor work with both or either of these? I know my MacBook has 2 Thuderbolt ports but I can't work out if they are Thuderbolt 1 or 2.

Any advice or pointers would be most welcome.

Actually, that MBP has Thunderbolt 2. Thunderbolt 3 did not arrive on MBP's until 2016 models.

The displayport from your MBP will drive that monitor just fine.

Brilliant - I shall order with confidence!

Thanks for taking the time
