2013 Macbook Pro Retina 13" Trackpad

Does anyone else notice the new 2013 Macbook Pro touchpad (trackpad) is not as smooth as the older models? It feels more textured and my fingers don't glide as well on it. I'm not sure why since it's still supposed to be "glass"?

Mine is smooth as silk, haven't noticed any uneveness. I was coming from a 2011 trackpad and noticed an improvement in the smoothness, actually. You may have already tried this, but I'd try cleaning it to make sure there's no residue and then try again... Or compare it to in store trackpads, see if yours is different

i wouldn't say it's uneven. it's just not as slippery as the 2010 one I have. My fingers don't glide as easily. I guess I try cleaning it like you said. Don't know why it would be dirty though. It's brand new.

Mines perfect. Sure it's just not dirty?

Think it's because it doesn't have much oil from my fingers on it yet.
