USB3 DataTraveler 64gb memory card, copies files snappily when connected to a windows machine. Feels like its running at USB 1 speeds when plugged into any USB 3 port on the MacBook Pro. I've tried several different sticks and they all exhibit this problem. Is anyone else experiencing this poor performance?

Make sure the cards are actually capable of USB 3 speeds. A nasty trick a lot of the cheaper ones do is massively slow transfer rates but label it as USB 3 as it has that connector.

Check the manufacturers of the sticks you have to see. But general rule of thumb is if one 64gb stick costs $20, and another costs $50. There's a reason why the second costs more.

Pretty sure it's USB 3 proper, and the same stick runs orders of magnitude faster on other computers.
