I have a 2013 MBA with a Mini DisplayPort to DVI going to Asus monitor that has native 2560x1440 screen. When I bootcamp into Windows 10 with the setup I can get 2560x1440 to the monitor. In MacOS I do not have that option. Is there some advanced setting to allow that setting?

I attached two screenshots.

Did you try the Default for display setting? (Resolution setting)

You can try to press the Option Key while clicking on the "Scaled" button. With that you see all possible resolutions. DVI is sometimes a problem because only dual link DVI connectors are able to display more than 1200x1920 pixels. A HDMI or DisplayPort connection is normally the better choice if the display is able to provide that. With these connections you can also transfer audio....

Turns out my DisplayPort to DVI adaptor was limited to 1080p. Bought a different one and it now works with MacOS. It’s still strange to me that Windows/Bootcamp did work with the old one.

Thanks for the help.
