this one has me baffled. Machine is a 2014 15" macbook pro retina. I was using it, and when finished I closed the lid to put it to sleep. the next morning I come to use it and it is dark. Open the screen nothing on. press power. nothing. Charger is connected, but it is showing orange. So I unplug the connector, reset the SMC, plug back in. nothing. no chime, no boot, nothing. Reset the SMC with the charger pluged in, it turns to green, release the keys and it turns orange. Computer is still dead. Removed the back, take out the battery, connect the power adapter, reset the SMC, adapter flashes green then orange on key release; so that is working. Press the power button and nothing. Completely dead.

For the life of me I can't get this thing to turn on. I am at a loss now as what to do. It wasn't dropped, no damage, no water, just was sitting on my desk. At this point I am looking for suggestions on how to get this thing to boot or troubleshoot the logic board. Not ready to throw parts at this yet, but I have to believe the only thing to replace is the main board. thoughts?
