Hello All,
I have a 2014 15'' base model, that has a changing battery status, and is generally being weird.
- A couple months ago, the battery status changed to "Replace Soon"
- The computer started dying at about 30%, and wouldn't turn back on until it was plugged in
- Today, I reinstalled High Sierra because I was going to sell it, and now the battery status is "Normal"
- I tried to run the battery down, and it went all the way down to 1% before shutting down.
- Battery Health says the Battery is at 63% health, and 1700 cycles.
Was this just a system issue? Or does OSX need to re-calibrate after a fresh install? I was going to send it off to macmeadeal, or get the battery replaced and try and sell it on craigslist for more...but now I'm confused as to what to do.
