This is going back little bit now, but I've just been issued a 2014 MacBook Air 13" as a work laptop from my new job, and I'm trying to integrate it into my current office setup. I have a USB hub/KVM combo to handle peripheral switching and plan on just using the monitor toggle for switching display input, but I'd ideally like to find this style of side-mounted dock for the Thunderbolt/USB port on the right hand side of the Mac that I can plug/unplug with the cables still attached whenever I head to the office, rather than having the individual thunderbolt/USB cables flapping around and needing to plugged/unplugged separately.

For anyone who had a Mac from this era, do you remember if such a product was ever made? I'm happy to go digging trawling once I know, but my memory of Apple tech from this time was sketchy and just need to know if I'm on a wild goose chase looking for one at all!

Thunderbolt 1 and 2 were really niche in their diffusion.
The standard really took off only with TB3 and USB-C.

Yeah I remember early thunderbolt being a bit of a wild west! I'm hoping I'll just come along something resembling what I'm after.
