I'm working on my MacBook air today and all of a sudden the sound drops out completely.
Internal speaker and headphones.

What's going on?
Is my trusty MBA finally showing signs of aging?

I tried to reboot it, worked for a little while, like 15 min, and then sound is gone again.
Also looked to see if I had the latest OS and yes, I do.
I have nothing in Sound properties other than "Internal Speakers".

Any ideas?

Try an SMC reset - search for instructions on the Apple site
