I have a 2014 Macbook Pro. Depending on the position at which I use my laptop, I can hear the trackpad makes a sort of a "sticky" noise. So I click down on the pad, I hear a click and then press harder gets to the actual click. I have never had anything spilled on the laptop. Could it just be the flexing of the laptop's chassis? How much would it cost to have apple look at this?

Also my hinge is slightly off. The lid does not sit square with the base (seems like the lid is pushed forward with respect to the base). Would apple be able to fix/adjust this? how much would this cost?

You could probably fix the hinge issue yourself. Unless you dropped it at some point and the aluminum is warped, you can probably loosen the hinge screws a bit (don't totally remove them), reposition the display, and tighten the screws back up. Problem solved and it would only cost you the screwdrivers. You'd need a P5 pentalobe and T8 torx screwdriver.

As for the trackpad sound, if it was flexing of the aluminum top case it would sound like a creaking. If you're hearing a sticky sound, good chance there is something sticky under the edges of the trackpad. If you didn't spill anything, it could still be some kind of food debris. That would also match up with the symptom you're describing of needing to press hard to register the click. Food debris impeding the path of travel of the click movement.

If that's the case it you'd need to remove the trackpad and clean edges of the trackpad and the area of the top case where the trackpad rests. The trackpad is a real pain to remove, but it can be done.
