Just noticed that B&H has a new base 2014 Mini (1.4ghz i5/4gb/500gb HD) for $379. Now we all know the limitations of this model, but I've been using one as an iTunes server for about 3 years and it's really perfect for that (it just runs iTunes 24/7 with home sharing). The low RAM and slow HD are not an issue for this use, and frankly anything more would be wasted - my iTunes library is on a fast external disk and more RAM isn't needed to just run one program. So IMO, that's a pretty good price if you need a small server. I mean... it's a Mac, it's new, it's less than $400 and it has a full warranty. :)

They also have a 2014 2.6ghz/8gb/1TB HD model for $549 and a 2.8ghz/8gb/1TB Fusion model for $629. Now, to be clear, I would not be at all nterested in either of these, but they would probably be adequate for many people and are much cheaper than the base 2018. Anyway, I just find it interesting that 2014 prices have finally dropped to something more reasonable, for quite awhile they were still selling for the original price.
