Hi all,

I ended up returning my 2016 Macbook Pro - honestly not because of all of the complaints found around here, but just because it has more power than I will ever need. I am only really looking for an upgrade because I currently have a late 2013 13" model with only 256GB. I want the extra screen space along with a bigger SSD.

Now I know both the 2014 and 2015 15" have the same processor. It appears that the only real difference between the two are the force touch pad, the SSD speeds, and the graphics card (since I am looking at the 512 GB models - refurbished). Would that be a correct statement?

I wanted to get a little bit of perspective on what other follow users would do IF they had the same usage. So let me talk a little bit about what I will be doing on this Mac... (hint pretty much the same as I am now on my 13") Some software development, work (remote desktop to work PCs), light web design, very light gaming (Age of Empires 2 - yes... still playing that when time allows), web/youtube, along with typical word processing and basic productivity work.

The models I am looking at and their respective prices:
2014 - 2.5GHz, 512GB, 750M - $1,699 certified refurb.
2015 - 2.5GHz, 512GB, M370X - $2,099 certified refurb.

The 2014 should be just fine for me, right? I don't really do much in the way of real work that needs a lot of power such as video or photo editing. Honestly, the only real reason I am looking for a new machine is again for the extra screen and storage space (also the wife wouldn't mind having my old 13" for her on the go).
