Computer has been working fine until this. I left it plugged into my Apple Thunderbolt power cable over night. The next day it would not turn on. After looking at YouTube videos I played around with holding down the power button and randomly plugging in the MagSafe charger. It randomly turned on during this. Now it is completely dead. The green / orange light still comes on when I plug in the charger but this thing will not power on. I opened up the bottom case and tried unplugging and replugging the battery in with no luck. Honesty I just need this thing to turn on once so I can de-register Adobe Photoshop CS6 ... Any ideas ?

Green light no power suggests logic board has a blown cap or a short that needs to be repaired but that is downstream of the power bus. You will have to take it to Apple or a local shop that you trust. Make sure they actually can repair logic boards before leaving the computer with them, most shops don’t even bother these days. The shop I use charges $330 for retina Macbooks. *edit: if you don’t want to repair it or want to wait, just contact Adobe support to have them reset registration

Thanks for the reply! I tried contacting adobe support chat but they will not reset a CS6 install. They only seem to support their CC product which is really annoying. Thank you for the logic board info. I will look into that! Thanks!

Try leaving the battery disconnected for a few hours, connect the charger with the battery disconnected, and see if the MacBook will power up on its own without touching any keys or the power button.

So it seems the battery has 2 connectors -- i assume disconnect both ? Thank you for the tip I will try this!
