2015 15" MBP with AC+ until April: is selling now good or bad for buyer and me?

I know some know how to max out the AC+ on older machines. They get new everything, and wind up with a brand new unit. I'm not so sure I'd even know how to begin gaming Apple that way, but I'm faced with that worry that I could perhaps sell now and get a better price, and let someone smarter than me have at it. Or, keep and run machine into the ground, try to maybe get some updates if they are available (some USB ports and the TB plugs don't always work so well, my mouse pointer has been disappearing lately, etc.). What have some done with near-expiring AC+ machines? Ethics are important. Thanks.
