Please advise, thanks

If you can post a link of a battery that's pretty good I'll appreciate it, thanks.

Okay how do I reset the MacBook? It doesn’t turn on but the USB port has power. I don’t have the disk, I just want reset and re install.

It’s. A 2015.

Seems like a piece of crap so far.

I have used the Egoway and Ansor from Amazon and they are pretty good. Not as good as the original but they cost 1/3 the price of an OEM Apple.

I’m going to check them out.

It powers up with the charger connected?

You can wipe the SSD and re-install the OS using Internet recovery (command+option+r).

Screen keeps shutting off even when plugged in.

If it keeps shutting off, that could indicate a logic board problem.

I have run MacBook Pros and Airs with a virtually dead battery or no battery on a charger and they don't power off on their own.

Is this your own Air or did you buy it from another person?

Bought it for very check off Craigslist.

No liquid it looks really good I’m doing that now

Lesson learned I need to focus on

It says choose network then froze up

I didn’t open it up I guess I should do that I’m considering this a lemon so far

How did you determine there was no liquid damage if you have not removed the bottom cover?

With liquid exposure, the battery is one part that is easily damaged due to an electrical short.

The lines for the power button run through the keyboard. If there is a short in the keyboard, this could be causing the sudden power off issue.

Here it is

Seems I got scammed. This may be a 2012

Anyways I’m throwing it away and I’m done with gadgets. Kinda tired and I’m gonna leave my state and move somewhere else.

Thanks for the assistance

I’m gonna sell a old laptop for 125 so I don’t lose too much money

I have seen people advertising the year of the MacBook as the year in which they bought it rather than the specific model year.

It unfortunate this happened.

I recommend possibly trading it in at the Apple store for a possible gift card?

I’ll look into that.

Yeah it’s a cold game with evil or often times non competent people.

When I sell a old laptop I’d lost 125 which isn’t too bad basically going out for dinner for 2.

How do I reinstall the os from the backup on the computer?
