I just bought a refurb 2015 model . it seems to work fine other than a recurring problem that does not always happen but happens often. I am at best a novice but hope to learn more about computers to be able to actually " use " a Mac.
Anyway the bottom of the screen where the row of icons are seems to bounce about a 1/4 inch and the screen directly above it seems to pixel or something like that just a little. When it bounces the very top row of icons and selections seems to appear momentarily on the bottom, while the top row and the top of the screen seems to be unaffected. I tried to ask the vendor about it, they say send it back and maybe they can fix it or I can get a refund. I waited and shopped for a long time before I found this one and don't want the hassle of shipping and or buying another one. I saw a post on this site from a google search about this issue, but since I joined the site I can't find it, and what I was able to read about it no one had an answer and the poster was leaning towards it being a hardware issue. I did a diagnostics check and some of the things that user did with no results. It doesn't even do it always, I always have it plugged in also. If anyone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it, I really don't want to go through the shopping and buying process again right now though.

At one point I timed the hiccups, they were 4 seconds apart then, now tonight they seem a little different , like they last longer and hang up a split second during the hiccup, almost shaky like . ive heard malware is on the rise for Mac , I hadn't bought any security yet, although I have an AVG thing I can try if it even works on Mac .

That's not caused by malware. Very likely a graphics problem or other hardware problem. Take it back or send it back and get a refund. If you're in the market for a refurbished Mac, the only safe place to buy a refurbished Mac is from Apple. Yes, it will cost more but well worth it as Apple warrants their refurbished items the same as new.

And really on a Mac forum that is the only answer I get? to just send it back because something is messed up? Can you or anyone else please elaborate a little?

I know my name on here is goofy but I got tired of trying to find a name that wasn't taken
