Hi

I have a 2015 MacBook Pro 15” with a stock Apple 256GB SSD.

I am looking to upgrade to a 1TB Apple original SSD. This is were things are a bit confusing. I realise I need the SSUBX drive and can see many used on eBay.

But there are a few variations of this, some have model number MZ-KPV1T00/0A4 others end in 0A8 instead. It seems the difference is the 0A4 have a cover/shield on one side.

Can anyone tell me what the difference is and does it impact compatibility with the MacBook Pro in anyway? Will there be an impact on speed or power consumption?

ideally I am looking at the one ending 0A8 as that is the cheapest I can find on eBay.

Thanks
