I have an early 2015 retina MacBook Pro 13". The USB port on the right side of the notebook (when facing the screen) doesn't immediately work after reboot, until I remove and reinsert whatever device is plugged into it (most often, it's a FitBit syncing dongle).

Not a huge issue, just an annoyance, though I'd hate for this to be a precursor to a larger yet to be identified issue with the motherboard that may creep up on me in the future.

Does anyone have a similar issue, or any recommendations on how to fix it?

Thanks

Ok, so it must be the Fitbit dongle then because I rebooted with a simple Lexar USB 3.0 stick plugged into it and it mounted immediately after reboot.

However, the Fitbit dongle only has this problem when using this particular USB port. When I plugged it into the other, it was instantly identified after reboot (according to the fitbit sync software).

This leads me to question if there's an inherent difference between both USB ports. Does anyone know?
