I am using a 2015 MacBook Pro A1502 running Mojave. The other day, I replaced my Airport card because my Wi-Fi stopped working. Ever since then, it seems that my trackpad is less responsive than it was before. Sometimes, I can even slide my finger a quarter of an inch, or about 10 mm, or more, and the cursor will not move at all. It just seems less accurate in general. Sometimes when I "aim" for something, I feel like I have to drag my finger a little bit farther to reach the same spot. When I type in the Safari address bar, there is a lag, and the letters don't appear immediately. Also, on certain websites, when I try to enter text into a field, when I click on the field to select it, it takes longer than normal for the field to be selected. One more than that I noticed is that even before my Airport card failed, my trackpad was a little bit laggy. I noticed because when I use my mom's MacBook Pro, which is the same exact model year, the trackpad definitely seems to be more responsive and accurate. What could be the problem? 🤔

Probably the trackpad cable - cheap and easy fix.

Failing that you may need to replace the trackpad but I would try the cable first - maybe $5 or so from eBay.
