Hi
I have had a 2011 MacBook Pro for many years, all good. I have now also have a 2015 MacBook (early) (both running High Sierra, but was also happening under Sierra). I can have them next to each other running and there is a significant difference in internet speed, with the MacBook being lower. My iPhone/ipad also showing faster speed. MacBook say 10mbs, others 20/25 mbs.
Could this be an issue with the MacBook antennae , or is it that they would have differing antennae which would affect 'reception'? I have also done fresh reinstall save any software issue. The macbook's screen is significantly thinner, and I understand that the wifi and bluetooth antennae are within the screen assembly. Is this just one of the differences, or is it something that needs fixing. ...Any suggestions to help with the speed if not?
Many thanks for you advice
