Why wouldn't you buy the 2016 MB for the same price?

New means for me, it needs 4 month shakedown cruise and OS updates to iron ouut hardware and software bugs.

I bought rMB two weeks ago, I needed something now and even March announcement wasn't something I could bank on shipping for weeks or until WWDC time frame.

Also, my 2015 12" Apple Special had to be brand new - clearing out stock, perfect condition, $1099 or B&H has stock new units $999.

I might pass mine to someone and buy 2016 in October if it is significantly better - unlikely as I don't see any weakness now.

Assuming one is released anyone with a brain would buy the new one at the same price. The problem is, they will not be the same price...apple also has people who work for them with brains.

Do you want the 2015 or 2016 car if they are the same price?
Do you want the iPhone 6 or 6s if they are the same price?

They will probably be the same price, but they won't be avaiable at the same time.....

The places that still have the 15' would sell it for cheaper than $1299 once the 16' is available. Apple would only sell the 16' new though, and the 15' would have to be purchased through the refurb store.
