If I bought one, would I be able to run Mavericks instead of Yosemite? Also, how can I transfer over my iTunes catalog via USB? I have about 25GB worth of music and maybe 50 GB in movies.

Thanks for the iTunes part. I really couldn't load Mavericks from the App Store on my current MBP and put it on a flash drive and put it on the new computer? Don't people do this all the time with fresh/clean/whatever installs?
