Hi everyone,

I bought this 15" Macbook in June, and today I noticed it makes a clicking noise when moved or touched. It's driving me insane, I've never dropped it or even bumped it into something. $2640 for everything on a computer and it shouldn't be making noises like this in less than 4 months. I also paid for AppleCare if that matters.

What are my options?

There's a little metal prong that goes from the logicboard to the chassis to ground it. I'm guessing yours either became unadjusted or came loose and is rattling inside.

That'd be my guess.

I've read about that (mostly on older models) but it seems to be that. Is that something that would be covered?

Yeah, it's probably a defect. Bring it to the Apple Store and they're hopefully going to repair/replace your model. Obviously make sure to create a Time Machine backup before bringing it to the AS.

Thanks for the help, hopefully they can fix it
