Hi All,

Had my MBP for Four years now, never had an issue.

Since Catalina has been out i have had issues with my display. Flashing between yellow and normal colours, the kind of yellow as if you where to have night shift on horizontally. I then downgraded back to Mojave and it seemed to go away, i waited for a few weeks and then tried the update again, laptop was still fine so thought no more of it.

Laptop then started doing it again about 2 weeks ago. It's now doing some weird stuff.

Blue hue on the screen
Get's to login screen and then screen goes blank
Weird multi-coloured patterns.

I purchased a new LVDS cable, installed it and it's no different so i put the old one back in and returned it.
Plugging in an external monitor and the output is fine and as it should be.
Plug the external monitor in when display goes blank and internal and external display shows image, however internal screen sometimes goes blue or has the yellow bars.

I have attached pictures of what the laptop is doing, sometimes it's fine for about an hour sometimes an entire day.
Is it the panel or the graphics? I keep going towards the display assembly.
I don't want to spend £300+ on a lid assembly if it's not going to fix it.
I'm not sure whether to attempt to fix it or source a replacement.

Any ideas welcome, many thanks!

Jon
