I was waiting to see this benchmark posted here and haven't over the last few days.
My 2015 rMBP arrived today (2.5/1TB/dGPU) and I like running Xbench on it just for comparison of all past machines.
The disk test is insane. Specifically the random read 4k blocks. I recently purchased and returned a refurb 2013 Mac Pro. The random read 4k blocks xbench speed on that machine was 21 MB/sec, which was higher than the 10-15 MB/sec on that test I'm accustomed to seeing on various SSDs in MacBook Pros over the years.
The 2015 rMBP random read on Xbench: 37.95 MB/sec. Attached are the rest of the results.
We knew from plenty of other benchmarks that the sequential read/writes were very fast. But I was curious the whole time about the random read/write performance. I'm very happy with this result
