I just made this (took me 5 hours) It's for my 8th grade Computer Graphics class. Wat should I do to change it. I'm trying to copy the Don't Pannic Music Vid from Coldplay. I'd like some feedback!

Fun video! :D

Two areas that you might consider modifying:

- When the cloud goes to ground water. You might make change to rain vice the cloud itself going down.

- When the cloud comes up from the ground water. You might want to illustrate the moisture rising (not sure how I would do that). Maybe having the cloud be transparent and then loosing it's transparency on the way up.

That's pretty darn amazing. How did you make the objects? I'd love to hear a general walkthrough of how this was created. It looks awesome!

First I went into photoshop and made the hills and stuff and added textures, layer masks, etc.

Then I made the sky with a gradient and the stars with brushes.

Then I imported everything into after effects and pushed the mountains behind the ground and the sky even further back.

I made the smoke with radio waves and blur and some tweaking.(I forgot how to enter random seed?)

The water running underground was soon with particle playground and masks.

The clouds were just some tweaked photoshop objects and I made a motion path using auto sketch.

The arrows were also on another path and I used auto-orient to make them rotate.

The rain was also just particle playground.

If anyone is an AE buff. Please tell me some techniques in the hard parts.

I am making a very basic version of the movie.

Wow, that's all I have to say...I better stick with FCP...I can't do that kind of stuff at all...You are in 8th grade too...Wow, in 8th grade I had just started using like movie maker and was still playing starcraft.

I suck at motion graphics stuff.

I really need to improve my understanding of photoshop, and then get over the fact that After Effects isn't an Apple app, so I should get used to it's UI pissing me off.

Just like PhotoShop's.
