Hello,

I have a question for you all. Has anyone used a USB-C HUB on the 12" MacBook? I'm wondering how multiple devices connected at the same time work through one 5Gbps port. All I would be connecting to is an external SSD, maybe a Phone/IPAD and memory card from my camera. Has anyone who may use one notice slow speeds?

Any help would be appreciated. I just ordered the 12" MacBook but I'm thinking about returning it for a pro just for the ports. I really don't do much work that would make me a pro. lol

Thanks for the help!!!

Joe

Make sure the hub is USB 3.0. A lot of the early USB-C hubs were USB 2.0 only (particularly if they had other ports). Also, be aware that the external SSD may need to be plugged in by itself if it draws extra power.

I didn't think about the added power for the SSD, Good Call! Thank you!
