i updated to High Sierra last week, but APFS makes me nervous so i decided to downgrade back to Sierra.

Apple doesnt make this process easy. However after reverting to Sierra and installing the updates from the App store, the mac rebooted as expected, but it went into safe mode and i noticed the graphics on the screen were flickering.

A reboot seemed to remedy the issue but im wondering if this could be a hardware issue.
Anyone experience anything like this?

Cheers

Its "normal" to have screen flickering when booted in safe mode as your optimised GPU drivers are not loaded. Also, there is nothing wrong with APFS (you should probably be more worried about HFS+ :D )
