This has happened several times now. In the morning I unplug my 2016 15" MBP, put it my bag and head out. I haven't used the laptop at all( haven't even opened the lid ) After an hour the laptop is heating up very badly to the point where it's too hot to touch. The fans are not spinning at all. I open the laptop( it has lost 25% battery at this point ) and check activity monitor and I see "kernel task" using 20-30% of the CPU. After 1-2 minutes it stops using so much power and eventually the laptop cools down...Has anyone had similar experience to this or any ideas how can I fix this ? It's not the experience I should be getting from a £3000 machine...
