Guys,

All these keyboard issues from this forum is making me nervous. Previously I have always order refurbs and have had 0 issues. Has anyone had keyboard (or any) issues with their refurbs? I'm about to jump all over the 15" 512gb, 460 4gb one today.

I know of course I have the warranty and return window as a peace of mind. I really just want a great laptop (as was my previous 2015 MBP)

Well, this will be the third keyboard on my 2016 15" when I pick it back up tomorrow.

The fact that it has been the "b" key each time is curious - I wonder if that area heats up more than others and damages the mechanism.

I'd either stay with your 2015 or wait.
 
I've gotten quite a few refurbs from Apple over the years, the most recent being my 2016 15" 2.7GHz/1TB/460. So far I've had occasional keyboard problems, namely stuck/repeating keys and a bad fan. I've had the fan replaced, then finally when Apple finally agreed that the keys were a problem, a replacement top case with battery.

I got the 2017 top case and since then they keyboard has been fine. So I've got my fingers crossed in hopes that it stays like it should.

On one hand I have had problems, but Apple has (eventually) stood by their product and fixed mine, but I don't dare to go without AppleCare with it.
