Hey friends,

Have a 2016 Macbook 12 inch retina which has a black screen that wont go away. The computer boots up and all normal sounds can be heard but no image is displayed. I contacted apple and did all the resets but to no avail. I went to a authorized apple service provider and they stated I need a new LCD after connecting the laptop to a monitor. They didn't open the laptop or check anything. Would I really have to replace the LCD on this laptop or is there a cable that needs to be replaced that could fix this issue?
