I need a new bag to carry my new 2016 15" MacBook in. Any suggestions?

OMG they are perfect!!! Thank you!

Those bags have mediocre protection, I'd suggest you get a strong sleeve so you can put your machine in any bags you want. With your budget you should be able to afford a really protective sleeve in the inside and keeping the look on the outside.

I need something with great protection... seek... mediocre won't cut it. I am not here for sleeves.

I was in the same boat as you, was looking for stylish protective bags but couldn't find any, its either stylish or protective. :(

Take a look at Tumi or Samsonite bags, those are priced higher but do good protection while not compromising style.

I will take a look at those bags. Hopefully, they don't have any big awful logos or anything on them. I like the style to be on display and not the label.

If I were you, I would return it before you buy a bag.

I don't get why Apple didn't put 32GB into the new MBP or at least something higher than 16GB to show they are doing something. It seems like they could've beefed up the touch bar with 4 or 8GB of ram and then used the touch bar to provide additional ram on an as needed basis when 16GB isn't enough. I feel like they missed an opportunity here. I will say though that the iPad Pro line of products is surprisingly stable. Maybe they should just cut their loses with the Mac and go all in on iProducts.

In every thread this guy opens, allways somebody quote this same post :D
[doublepost=1479289576][/doublepost]Check out http://www.crumpler.com.

They have different collections, maybe you like one of them.

At the site's info says all their bags are watter proof and paded, they seem resistant.

I had the same problem you have, the ones that protect are pretty ugly (the so adored ones in this forum from Incase for example) and the stylish ones have almost no protection.

I love the one from https://www.bluelounge.com/products/backpack
It's watter resistant, but I think the inside is not really well paded.

Finally I ordered this one from Crumpler, is not the most stylish neither the most protective, but it's in a midpoint between those.

You may want to check out Timbuk2 bags as well. I have one of their classic messenger bags and love it. I am not sure that my 2016 15" MBP will fit in that particular bag, but they have a great selection. Thy actually have an option to search their bags by device your want to carry, and can even enter the dimensions if your device isn't in their huge list.

Good luck!

(As a side note, I'm personally going to still use a basic sleeve on my new device before carrying it in my messenger bag or backpack. I still don't feel comfortable having it unprotected that way. Just sharing my personal preference.)

Personally I've got the Porter Tanker 3way bag in black while I was in Tokyo. It's amazing. It's super expensive when you're outside of Japan though.

That and a WaterField Suede Jacket Sleeve. Can't wait for my 15" to arrive.
