Hey All,

I am having some serious graphics issues while on Intel graphics with the latest 10.12.5 update. I have the i7 2.9 with AMD 460 graphics.

I think I screwed up by updating the computers while plugged into the 5K LG display. It runs fine when on the AMD graphics, but when on Intel all Mac apps have weird pixelated artifacts.

Also, when installing the update I had to do a hard shut down mid-way through the process (when the update rebooted the machine). Anyone else having this issue?

WORD OF WARNING, do not install the latest update when connected to the LG Thunderbolt Display.

Same here..

I chose to do a re-install/recovery of macOS using cmd+R on start-up. My login screen also went black (while logging into my user account) except for showing the progress bar.

Mine was connected to a LG 38UC99.

- edit -

After re-install mine is running fine on 10.12.5.

Thanks Dotwood, the re-install using cmd+R fixed mine as well. I did disconnect from the LG monitor this time around.
