I have a new 2016 MBP, 13", non-TB. I'm using CoconutBattery to report % of original battery design capacity.
When the MBP was new, it reported 108%, but quickly after the first few cycles it dropped to 97% and has now continued to slowly drop to 94%.
I normally wouldn't worry except that I've had bad luck with two of my last three Apple laptops. I had an original MBP that dropped to barely over 80% after 18 months despite Apple claiming 1000 battery cycle life. It was far short at just a couple of hundred cycles. I also have a MBA that dropped to 80% around 2 years. I still have it. It had dropped to 40% and I finally broke down and replaced the battery with an after market battery. After several cycles its still reporting 108%.
I also have a 2015 MBP from work. It has over 100 cycles on it and is reporting 97%, better than the brand new MBP.
Anyone else noticing strange capacity degradation?
