Hey guys i got a question i have a 2016 Macbook pro non tb and i was editing a video and i got the service battery notification under the battery drop down. and i know that this model has a recall on the battery, and also i know in Macos 10.15.5 apple will introduce a Battery management feature. Should i be worried about anything. If you guys could write me back i would appreciate it. Thanks.

Here is a screenshot of what my battery health is like.

Your battery still looks to be okay according to the info in Coconut so it's strange you are getting a service battery notification. I think you need to be at least below 80% before this would happen. I have the same model and my battery is at 90% over 117 cycles.

Is your battery still holding a decent charge? Have you tried to run the machine until it shuts down due to running out of battery, then powering it up again? I leave my machine plugged in a lot and notice the battery percentage increases after running it on battery for a few cycles.

I'd try a few things like cycling the battery a few times, resetting the SMC, or maybe wait for a software update before replacing the battery.
