2016 Macbook pro usb C problem. Doesnt recognise the dock sometimes

I have this problem with my Macbook pro 2016 model with my 2 USB C ports
The charger that came with the Macbook works perfectly.
The problem is when I attach the OWC usb c dock.
Sometimes the port doesnt work and when i put it into the other one it works, but doesnt find my mouse that is connected to the usb port.
Is this something that can be fixed?
