2016 MBP 1tb w/2gb radeon ram vs 2017 MBP 512gb w/4gb radeon ram

I maxed out my last macbook but it was only 128 gb and that was after almost 3 years of use.

I'm not sure about buying an older computer and might need the extra radeon ram for video editing which I want to do.

The 2016 is $2,299, the 2017 is $2,449

Video editing may require more storage but having Apple upgrade the graphics card on the 2016 would likely be more expensive than the cost of buying an external drive for the 2017.

What are graphics cards used for other than gaming?
