Hi All,

I would like to use Elgato HD60 S video capture card with my 2016 MPB15 (operating under Mac OS 10.13.6) to record video from an external source. In this instance a video camera. Unfortunately, I am unable to get the HD60 S to connect to the laptop. I have tried the following:
  • I know the HD60 S is functioning because I have connected it to a Windows computer.
  • Used different cables.
I noticed that when I connect to Windows, the HD60 S generates two white flashes of the 7 LEDs. This means everything is good to go. However, when I connect to the HD60 S to the MBP, I get the two white flashes followed by a single red flash of the LED bar. Researching on Elgato's website this indicates an HDCP source in which the HD60 S is not compatible. Yet, others seem to be able to connect the HD60s to their post 2016 MBPs.

Does anyone have thoughts on what I should try next? Is there a way to turn off HDCP on an 2016 MBP15?

Thank you in advance for your help.
