We sent a 2016 MBP in for a keyboard repair / top case replacement in late November. The laptop is normally desk bound but occasionaly when it’s moved around the office on battery, it will hard shutdown. Not crash, but immediately turn off as if it was a desktop computer and you tripped over the power cord. The battery is 100% obviously being brand new after the replacement and fully charged because it‘s been sitting on a desk.

Any suggestion before a genius bar trip?

Thanks.

I would just take it in soon. You have a repair time window. I believe it is 90 days or so, but should be stated on your paperwork.
