2016 MBP TB random shutdowns?

Just received my new 15" MBP with tb and I am transferring a lot of files from my old system. Since its taking a while, I have been walking away only to come back later and my MacBook is off and I have to start all over again. It has done this about 4 times already. I can't really bring it back since I ordered it custom (460 pro & 1TB) and it would take prby another 4 weeks to get another one.

Has any other people experienced this issue?

Apple has been recently made aware of some of the new Macs crashing when using Time Machine (and sometimes CCC) when backing up or even just transferring large files. There are a few threads on the subject. on the front page.

Make sure and file a bug report with Apple.

oh wow ok, thats good news then because at least its a known issue and they are working on a software fix.
