I posted this in the general macOS thread, but I am posting it here just incase it is more a version of sierra.

I recently got the 2016 rMB and while I love this machine, the bluetooth isn't working properly.

It connects to my JBL speaker for maybe 10 seconds and then cuts out. I restarted my computer, deleted the JBL speaker from the bluetooth list and re-added it. Still doing the same thing.

Now, maybe this is the issue: I used migration assistant to from my 11" 2011 MBA. I wonder if the older bluetooth settings impacted the new bluetooth module (or whatever you call it) in my new 2016 rMB.

If not, is there any type of reset I can do?

If you haven't done this already, I would trash your bluetooth preferences.

Go to /Library/Preferences (not ~/Library), delete "com.apple.bluetooth.plist", empty the trash and shut down. Leave it off for a minute or two, then reboot. Then go back to Bluetooth Preferences and re-add the device.

This has worked for me in the past.
