I'm sure this was somewhere deep in the forums (so just direct me to the correct place if it's already been talked about)

I have a brand new 2016 tbMBP 15 inch purchased from B&H mid March 2018. Hasn't left the house. Running the latest version of High Sierra.

Was browsing the internet (google chrome) with no other tabs open then suddenly there were a bunch of vertical lines on the screen for about 10 seconds and then it duplicated the top right corner of my screen about 60 times (the time, wifi battery percentage etc) across the entire screen.

Is this a hardware issue or software issue? This has never happened to the other 3 macs in my household and sort of worries me. I'm not eligible for a return through B&H, so I would imagine a "repair" is necessary. A bit upset since I have a brand new machine (that cost me well over 3k) that will now most likely end up with refurbished parts (most likely a logic board)
