Hi all,

My "B" and "right arrow" key has become "sticky", it's not that they wouldn't spring back up or anything. They feel normal when you type, problem is they register more than one stroke once in a while(more like one in every fifteen strokes or so)
The "B" key got super annoying so I popped it off, ended up breaking the "left bottom hook" so although it is put back on, it won't register if I only hit the very top right corner. Anyways it's something I can live with. at least no more "double strokes"

Now I don't know what to do with the "right arrow" key, don't want to break that one too. I mean I'm pretty clean person I don't eat on or near this thing...

Has anyone of you ran into the same issue before? If so, how did you fix it?

Thanks!

Teng Da

Call apple and schedule a repair.
Which they are going to refuse to pay for at this point, because he already broke the B key off and therefore ruined his keyboard for good. Expect to pay between $500 (non Touch Bar) and $700 (Touch Bar) for the repair.

I didn't say Apple was going to cover the repair, but they are the ones that can fully fix it, and if the OP has AC+ then that should be covered

That's true, didn't think about AC+.

Either way, absolutely agree. Only Apple can "fix" this by replacing the entire top case including touchpad, battery, and keyboard. There is no other fix - some compressed air might help for a short time but eventually, the keyboard will have to get replaced.

"B" key is put back on so no big issues there if I don't say anything I doubt even my wife is able to tell. I will schedule an appointment to try my luck.

I do have AC+, thanks for mentioning that!
