Hey Hey Hey ...

what a great start to this weekend: proud to be healthy, my son, sister, mother, dad and GF are all healthy. I hope all of you are healthy as well!

After 6yrs of resisting macOS and Apple for laptops ... my son is now the proud owner of a 2016 13" MBP i5/256/16GB ($888 CA) thanks to a shady local craigslist seller of an MSI GS61 (thx nitsguy). Let's just say he's a very happy owner of the MBP and already downloading Logic Pro X and Win10. He works in Audio composition so he needs Windows for now as he learns Logic.

I myself have also got a similar spec'd machine listed in my signature. Previously, I had owned a 2018 MBP 13" TB for a brief 2mths and had to sell it, so I'm feeling good returning to Mac soon to be full time now with Win10 secondary (when work begins).

Some questions:
Butterfly KB - I find this 2017 to be really 'clicky' in loudness and less energy on the rebound after each key is stricken, making me feel a perceived lag before I can type again. my perception of this is very minimal, as in singular milliseconds but it's enough to have me think about typing when normally I'm think 4 words ahead to actually type. Is the slower rebound normal when considering the 2018 didn't have this?

Thunderbolt 3 x2 ports on the left only - hopefully each is full speed? I was not able to get a precise confirmation via everyman site or from google results.

Will Apple honour a secondary owner for the KB replacement program if I take this in?
Also how long will the repair take?

Thanks & enjoy your weekend macheads.
