Have a 2017 15” MacBook Pro. There’s a speck of something stuck inside the center of the display. Almost certain was a tiny insect. I retouch photos so this is a constant annoyance. I’ve tried degrees of vibration but the speck is stuck. I think it’s somewhere on the white backing layer. I don’t want to put more money into this machine given its age, and I am planning to get the larger iMac on release next year because I need a faster machine and bigger display. I had the keyboard replaced a year ago under Apple's program, this is the only time machine has been opened. In terms of a fix, can Apple open the LCD & clean or can this only be resolved with display replacement? Wondering if anyone else experienced similar and the outcome.
