I have the 2017 15" MacBook Pro with the 2.9ghz quad core and Radeon Pro 560. I spend a lot of times in hotels and on the move so thought about getting an egpu that isn't big and just carrying it with me when I'm gone places I'll want to chill out and game at. I just ordered the Gigabyte Aorus Gaming Box with the GTX 1070. In windows bootcamp should I be worried about CPU temps? When at max loads would it be worthwhile to maybe pull the bottom off and apply Thermal Grizzly? I already had the machine, like working with OS X, and found the Gaming Box with the 1070 for $430 on Newegg and no taxes. Frankly I love the quality of a MacBook Pro so haven't been interested in any real Windows based laptop except maybe the Razer but their innards are crap from what I can tell.
In Windows with the eGPU is there a way to setup some type of "game mode" where I can cause it to crank the fans to 100%? Is it possible in windows mode to undervolt the cpu?
