Greetings,

I have an aggravating problem. I have a new Samsung 75" QN90B TV and a 2017 4K Apple TV.

I watch Hulu from the Samsung App and the only HDMI device plugged in, is the Apple TV. My wife-unit will stream one of her exercise videos via her Mac and the Apple TV and it works perfectly. When she's done, she'll resume the Hulu App and watch TV. When the 2017 Apple TV sleeps, the Samsung TV will power off.

I have the Anynet+ CEC disabled. Any thoughts?

Not familiar with Samsung TVs, but most new TVs have multiple HDMI ports into which you can plug devices. Look up in your TV's manual to find an HDMI port that is not the HDMI-CEC port. Most TVs only have one HDMI-CEC port, and if you plugged the ATV 4K into it, it might still be turning off the TV somehow. So be sure to plug the ATV 4K into a non-HDMI-CEC port. Typically, the TV's HDMI-CEC port is used to plug in the external sound system, if you use one.

Also, try using the TV's remote to change from ATV 4K back to the TV's apps. That way the ATV 4K shouldn't turn off anything including itself. The ATV 4K will eventually go to sleep on its own after being inactive for a while. I suspect that using the ATV 4K remote OFF button is what is causing the problem, even with the TV's Anynet+ CEC option disabled.
