2017 iMac 18,2 upgrade to i7 7700; lost thunderbolt.

The diagnostic showed no issue, smc reset didn't work.
iFixit folks have not been forthcoming.
I have a belkin express dock and apollo twin x; both were working with the i5 cpu.
Please help.

Cpu was faulty, re-installed i5, Tb is back.
