Slap my ass and call me Sally. My guess it's limited by software but could use a confirmation.

On my Dell laptop, I can watch 4K YouTube videos, even though the screen resolution is less than half of 4K.
On ipad, the max YouTube video I can watch is at 1440p. There is no option above 1440p...YouTube app, Safari or Chrome browsers.

So my questions are. Is there any way I can watch YouTube videos above 1440p? How can I watch 4K videos on my iPad?

Its sadly software limitation, I recommend ProTube, it cost like $3 but the dev unlocks the true potential of Youtube.
