Hey Guys,

Last year I bought a maxed out 12” 2017 MacBook. I was looking for portability and it was definitely the best option for me, and to be truthful I do not feel like it is all that sluggish in the grand scheme of things for the work that I do. However I am drawn to the new 2018 MBP 13”. Everything I have read says that even though it’s only an inch more, it will feel like I have a lot more screen real estate. Do you think I will notice a serious boost in processing power?

Thanks for the help!

It’s much faster. But if you only do basic tasks you may not notice the difference. The screen is definitely nicer, and having more ports is a must, IMO. Also, you get a better keyboard with the 2018.

The i9 may be prone to thermal throttling but kept in a cold freezer has been known to negate the thermal throttling.
