2017 MacBook Pro and Acer XR382CQK...keeps going black

I have an Acer XR382CQK 38" Ultrawide connected via USB-C to my 2017 MBP 15" and it will randomly go black for 2 seconds and then come back on.

I have tried searching Google and this forum for help with this issue and haven't found any answers.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
